Creating
a RAID Array
The HighPoint ATA RAID Management
Software supports the following RAID levels:
RAID 0 (Striping)
Data is striped over two selected disks. This level
can enhance the system performance.
RAID 1 (Mirroring)
Mirroring mode for data security. (Mirroring
refers to the 100% duplication of data from one disk to another)
RAID 0/1 (Mirrored Stripping)
A combination of RAID 1 and RAID 0. Provides
high performance and high availability.
JBOD (Volume)
High
capacity without redundancy or high performance features. (Expand the capacity
of your drive by creating a virtual drive which combines more than one disk
capacity for data.)
To create a RAID array, select a RAID array mode and open the corresponding Create Array dialog.
Use any of the following ways to open the Create Array dialog:
1. Right-click on the device item in the array tree, a pop-up menu will appear. Select the array type you want to create.
2. Choosing the menu Configuration->Create.
