Creating
a RAID 0/1 Array
As a combination of RAID 1 and RAID 0, RAID 0/1 array provides much more speed and security.
Only when at least four single physical disks
are available, users can choose the Create
RAID 0/1 menu or click the RAID 0/1 button on the toolbar to create a RAID 0/1
array. Follow a wizard to go through creating the array.
If your RAID controller supports more than 4 disks, you must select 4 disks from Available Disk list box. Otherwise, you need not select disks by yourself. Four disks will be auto-selected as default.
1. Select Disks: Select the disks from the Available Disk list box to the Selected Disk list box.
2. Set Block Size: You may select the block size by 16K,32K or 64K in the Block Size drop-down list box. 64K is the default size. Generally, the larger the size is, the more performance the system gets.
3. Specify Array Name: If you do not specify an array name, the system will assign a default name for the new array automatically.
Note:
You must have four hard disk drives to create a RAID
0/1 array.
