Deleting a RAID Array

Deleting an array will break the relationship of all the arrays. Deleting an existing disk array could result in data loss. So make sure to backup all data on the array in case you wish to undo a deletion.

To delete a RAID array, be sure the specified array is highlighted, then use any of the following ways to invoke the deletion dialog:

1. Right-click on the array item in the array tree, a pop-up menu will appear. Click the Delete menu.

2. Select the array on the Array tab in the main window, then choose the menu Configuration->Delete.

Note:

1. To delete a bootable RAID array, you must perform the same operation in HPT370 BIOS Setting Utility.

2. The software supports deleting unavailable arrays when the system detects the unusable array. For more information about deleting unavailable arrays, please see the Deleting unavailable arrays.
